It's Sadly Changed

The original family which started this restaurant, and their kids which took over the duties, provided excellent food at a moderate price. We used to eat there at least six times a year and I entertained clients who raved about the restaurant.The family sold the restaurant a few years ago and while the excellent interior ambience has been maintained the quality of the food has suffered along with a significant increase in price by the new owner. My favorite, sausage and peppers, was overcooked my last visit. The always copious salad was also much smaller than before. Additionally the complimentary garlic bread was overbaked and hard. The basket of garlic bread which under the prior owner always contained at least six or more slices of bread now had three and it was like pulling teeth to get a refill. The wine list which was reasonable seems to have had a more than three times multiplier of a store price. Perhaps we were spoiled by remembering the way the restaurant was in times past, but my wife and I vowed not to eat there again. Maybe a newcomer would find it fantastic? It's unfortunate a valued restaurant only ten minutes away in Diamond Bar has suffered this fate.
